1. Sea otters are one of the rare animals that use tools to open up their food. As said before, they use rocks, or even a coke bottle if provided, to smash open a abalone.

 

2. Sea otters have bulit-in pockets underneath their arms, yet they don't really have any purpose.

 

3. As previously mentioned, sea otters hold a huge amount of fur. But did you know that they bare more hair than humans do? The aveage amount of hair for humans is 100,000, per square inch, while sea otters have rougly 1,000,000 hairs( per square inch). 

 

4.Sea otter's teeth are very thick and strong. So strong, that they can bite through a sea urchin without hesitation!

 

5. Sea otters enjoy the majority of their food by placing it on their tummy to use as a plate or table.
